Tpr. Aaron R. Hunt
Eastern Recruitment Unit
Pennsylvania State Police
600 Kenhorst Boulevard,
Reading, PA 19611
"I began my career with the Pennsylania State Police in 2007 with the Patrol Unit at Troop H, Harrisburg. I love the energy of the job and it was evident that my adopted Troop H, Harrisburg family shared my enthusiasm. Prior to my arrival, I saw myself being immersed in any and all aspects of police work. I was not disappointed.
I've investigated multi-vehicle and fatal crashes with assitance from our CARS (Collission Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists) unit. I learned interdiction techniques with our SHIELD (Safe Highways Interdiction through Effective Law Enforcement and Detection) unit. I also focused on and made a great number of DUI (Driving Under the Influence) arrest while working permanent midnight shifts over five years. In addition, I was able to be a part of various training and special assignment opportunities. One training in particular, Aerial Reconnaissance and Enforcement, allowed me to observe and clock speed limit violations from the air. In 2009, I served as a member of the Troop H Company 1st Platoon at the G20 Economic Summit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Over the years, I have been proud to work with all of the individuals that make up our department. They include caring, dedicated Troopers and PCO's (Police Communications Operators), along with other civilian personnel. My PSP family is of diverse cultures and backgrounds. We all work together to provide the residents and visitors of Pennsylvania elite law enforcment services to protect our highways and communities.
Currently, I have the privilege to be a Recruiter for "The First and Finest". As a recruiter, I look forward to finding and assisting potential Commonwealth employees, LEO's (Liquor Enforcement Officers), and of course Pennsylvania State Troopers obtain their dream career. If you are prepared to become a member of our premiere law enforcement agency, The Pennsylvania State Police, let me and my recruitment team help you get there."
