"My career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania started in 1993 as a Corrections Officer at the State Correctional Institution at Dallas.  I always knew I wanted to be part of the "First and the Finest", the Pennsylvania State Police, so I completed the testing process and the academy.  The testing process and the academy is a long, but worthwhile process.  The day you walk across the stage and are presented your badge and credentials will be one of the proudest days of your and your family's lives.  That will be the day you finally earn the rank of "Trooper".

My career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper has been challenging, exciting and rewarding.  I have been involved in complex homicide investigations, Presidential security details and high speed vehicle pursuits, just to name a few.  No day is exactly the same.  You will be called upon to help people when they are in their greatest need as well as when they require simple roadway directions.  You must respond to both calls with the professionalism and dedication to duty that has been the standard with the Pennsylvania State Police since 1905.

Do you want to be part of a diverse law enforcement agency with a wide range of career options?  Do you feel you have what it takes to be a Pennsylvania State Trooper?  If so, sign up now and I look forward to seeing you earn the right to wear the uniform of a Pennsylvania State Trooper."

"I have been a member of the first and finest State Police agency in the country for approximately ten years. Being a member of the Pennsylvania State Police means not only embarking on a challenging and rewarding career but becoming something special.

During my time with the department there has never been a dull moment. I have been involved with several nationally notarized cases and assigned to safeguard many dignitaries including but not limited to the President of the United States.

Approximately 4 years ago I was given the opportunity to give back to the inner city area of Erie where I grew up. The Weed & Seed Program was requesting Police Officers become involved with inner city kids. Seizing the opportunity I decided to take this challenge and mentor inner city children.

I have been recognized by the YMCA Black Achievers Program and by the NAACP.

If you are looking for a career that’s exciting, fulfilling, and makes a difference, consider accepting the challenge The Pennsylvania State Police!"

"The Pennsylvania State Police is one of the premiere law enforcement agencies in the United States today. We are a full service police department which provides our members with a wide variety of opportunities in terms of career paths outside of our primary patrol function, such as an aviation unit, a tactical mounted unit, forensic services units, criminal investigations units, canine units, and special emergency response teams. These examples are just the tip of the iceberg in the different options of exciting job functions our members perform each and everyday.

The prestige of being a Pennsylvania State Trooper began in 1905 when we were organized as the first State Police agency of it's kind and still remains today, a proud tradition that is being carried on by the men and women currently serving. For those individuals who have the character and commitment to furthering our proud legacy the challenges and rewards of being a Pennsylvania State Trooper are second to none!"

"I have been a Pennsylvania State Trooper since 2005. I am proud to serve the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be a part of the first uniformed State Police agency in the country.

I have dreamed of being a Pennsylvania State Trooper since I was young and now I get to live that dream everyday. My experiences have led me to do my job in small townships, and big cities. I have been tasked with responding to incidents of violence and civil unrest within the City of Philadelphia on several occasions.

The job of a Pennsylvania State Trooper encompasses much more than issuing traffic citations for speeding. We are looking for men and women who embody our core values of HONOR, SERVICE, INTEGRITY, RESPECT, TRUST, COURAGE and DUTY to join our ranks. Do you have what it takes to become part of the proud history of the Pennsylvania State Police?"
