Sgt. Dawn Carpenter

Supervisor, Recruitment Services Section

Pennsylvania State Police
Bureau of Training and Education
175 E. Hersheypark Dr.
Hershey, PA 17033

I enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in 2009. I was assigned to Patrol at Troop J Lancaster where I served the citizens of Lancaster and Chester counties for eight years. I transferred to our Academy and was assigned to the Bureau of Training and Education, Physical Training Unit for four years. I was apart of an awesome team that taught our cadets tactical and physical skills while preparing them for their transition to becoming Troopers. As of July 2021, I was assigned as the Recruitment Services Section Supervisor of the Bureau of Training and Education.

Being in the Pennsylvania State Police has given me the opportunity to be a part of an organization that’s foundation is built on Honor, Service, Integrity, Respect, Trust, Courage, and Duty. This career has provided me an opportunity to serve and help people in times of need. As a Trooper I was able to connect with others to show them the compassion and sympathy that we all share. I am excited about being a part of the Recruitment Service Section and attracting the future of the Pennsylvania State Police to continue the great traditions that exist within this Agency.
